Springfield Road

Nightingale House, 1-3 Brighton RoadLocally Listed

From 1896 Fillery and Nightingale's premises and yard stood on the corner of Brighton Road and Springfield Road. In 1902 it was replaced by a new building for the Capital and Counties Bank, later Lloyd's Bank which moved to the Boulevard in the 1950s.

Hazeldene, 24a Brighton Road

Hazeldene was built in 1896 for Moses and Ruth Nightingale. It had a large saloon overlooking the garden, with a stage at one end were the Hazeldene Orchestra performed. A practice room was also built in the back. Since 1960 it has been the premises for the Crawley Club.
